A Day tour out of Copenhagen in the surrounding landscape of both farmland and city You will be pickup at the Cruise Terminal or Langeline, and the driver will take you to Hillerod, arriving around for drop 1200 CET The latest pickup at the Cruise Ship is 1030 CET. In Hillerod you will meet with the guide and the rest of the tour guests on the bus. There are seats available for you on the bus. (you can book a seat where you like, cost-free, at; seat@opheliatours.com) In Hillerod you have 2 hours. This is an opportunity to, on you own hand, see the magnificent renaissance place of Frederiksborg build in the 1700 century by one of most famous kings of at that time, dual monarchy of Denmark-Norway. If you need launch also. Shorten your visit to the Frederikborg Palace and lunch either at a local café or buying a sandwich and enjoying with a scenic view of the shores of the lake surrounding the Frederiksborg Palace. Hereafter the bus drives through the beautiful landscape with farming, forest, and small villages till the tour reaches Roskilde. Our guide will take you through some of the history of Denmark in both fact and not without some humor and fun-facts. We call it infotainment! Next will a guided tour of the Roskilde Cathedral getting some history of the cathedral and seeing some of the most distinct Christian monarch of Denmark. Also in Roskilde you will be brought all the way to the shore of Roskilde fjord (bay of Roskilde). This is where the Viking Ship Museum is located. Right there is a shipyard and a small harbor full of reconstructed Viking ships. In the summer period from April till the end of September, we are sometimes lucky to see the replicated Viking ship cruising on the water of the bay. From here the tour group returns to Copenhagen with various drop off. Leaving off by your ship no later than 1830/0630PM. Guide and Driver: English speaking only IMPORTANT PICK-UP INFORMATION ATTENTION; THE DISPLAYED PICKUP TIME IS FOR THE CENTRAL PICKUP POINT (in front of Hotel Astoria/Central Pickup Point) at 0900. The time for hotel pick-ups will be sent as an email, some 36 hours before the start. Please note; No pickups at hotels without parking or at private/Airbnb accommodations.
