Barock

In the colorful waterfront, canal and entertainment district Nyhavn in Copenhagen, there is a beautiful restaurant by the name of Barock that serves a mixture of international cuisine.

Nyhavn itself stretches from Kongens Nytorv to the harbor front just south of the Royal playhouse and is the perfect place for a stroll, for visitors and residents of Copenhagen alike.

Barock Restaurant is a real treat for the senses. The beautiful decor appeals to the eye, and the sights and sounds and smells of the waterfront--and the food--delight your other senses. Barock is a first class restaurant with an international concept. The basement has a bar with lighter dishes, beer, cocktails and live music - the perfect place to begin or even end your night.

There are seasonal specials on offer, make sure you get them to show you the daily specials card, and from April to October, enjoy your food and drinks in the sun out in the yard. Being close to the sea, there are a lot of great seafood dishes, like the salmon steak or lemon sole. Another good thing to look out for is the monthly menu, a set menu with three items. A typical monthly menu would be fresh white asparagus with ravigotte sauce and parmesan followed by grilled beef tenderloin in béarnaise sauce with sweet potatoes, with rhubarbs, cream and ice cream for dessert, all for 275 DKK.
