Japanese
Hiroko Uki is an examined Sushi Chef from Japan, who arrived to Denmark years ago and she knows her craft; the sushi you get here is not Danish style sushi, it is cooked the authentic Japanese way and if you are a fan of nigiri and maki – you’ve come to the right place.
Bento is a cellar restaurant successfully run by Hiroko and her son Daisuke. The place is small with just a few tables, the interior typically Japanese simple and the ambience is warm, welcoming and often crowded. Make sure to reserve a table or order a cocktail while waiting for a free table.
Sushi is a treat for many, but not for everyone; Grilled thin sliced beef and onion, Fried chicken veggie dumplings or Grilled barbeque eel might however be tempting alternatives if you prefer something less raw. Or, try the miso soup – it is legendary.
Japanese cuisine is known as fresh and healthy, and Makunouchi are different types of food put together for your inner balance and to give energy and power. Bento serves four different Makunouchi meals with one main course and eight small dishes and side orders for 225-330 DKK.
Despite the often high price level at Japanese restaurants, here you’ll find excellent dishes at reasonable prices. Take away is possible.
Please note that Bento does not accept credit cards, only cash payment.
