Danish
The popular restaurant Færgekroens Bryghus has been a part of the Tivoli Gardens since 1934 and the building reminds you of a welcoming Danish country house surrounded by trees, with a large terrace and a beautiful view over the Tivoli Lake.
It is a true delight to sit there, whether it is eating a delicious lunch in the afternoon sun, having a drink at the bar or eating dinner in the romantic evening setting with all the lights being reflected in the water.
The restaurant serves traditional Danish dishes like Smoked Ham from Skagen, Herb-marinated breast of young capon from Bornholm and Fried Plaice with Parsley Sauce. Since 2005, Færgekroens Bryghus is proud to brew its own beer, Blond Lager and Amber Lager, and the beer is made according to the Bavarian “Reinhaltsgebot”, which means that no additional flavors are added.
The Austrian Georg Lassacher is in charge of the brewing, and he has a university degree from Munich in the same. The floor between the restaurant and the cellar has been removed, in order for the guests to watch the brass beer tanks and to see the brewing process.
Færgekroens Bryghus offers live piano music on Thursdays-Saturdays from 8 pm onwards, the atmosphere is warm and friendly and you are welcome to sing along.
