Spanish
Pintxos are the Northern Spain and Basque-country equivalent of tapas... small servings of delicious snacks served in bars with drinks. They have taken on a life of their own in restaurants outside of Spain, where people pick and choose their favorites into a main meal and sit slowly talking, eating and drinking.
Restaurant and Tapas Bar Pintxos, located within a walking distance from Copenhagen´s center, brings a taste of Spain to the middle of Copenhagen. As well as authentic and tasty tapas, Pintxos also serves fish, meats and desserts. The real fun though is in getting a group together, ordering a huge variety of tapas, and digging in!
Try the zucchini and cheese croquettes for DKK 59, or the Galician octopus (DKK 69). A must at every tapas restaurant is the thick and tasty Spanish omelets with onions and potatoes for DKK 49. Tapas don't always have to be small... Pintxos offers grilled lamb chops for DKK 85.
If you still have space and would like something more, there is a luxurious Filet Mignon in truffle sauce on offer at DKK 225, or for a pair of meat-lovers there is a dish of three meats and three sauces (DKK 255) that requires a minimum of two people.
Desserts offer something different from the usual fare... Catalan cream, lime mousse or chocolate soup are things you don't get to eat every day.
Pintxos has a strong environmentally-friendly policy. Everything from the lighting to the energy sources used to even replacing the table-cloths with wipe-clean material (instead of washing) helps to conserve energy and the planet's resources.
